Description

Antique French M1874 Rifle Bayonet measuring 25-1/2" long overall with a blade length of 20-1/2". Shows age patina, wear, use, Grip wood handle shows dings, some cracks around rivets, and loss. Press-stud in good working order, blade shows much original finish with blade edge showing damage, scattered dings/nicks. Good looking scabbard with some age patina, spots, etc. Spine of blade marked with Tulle Amory with a 1877 date. Serial number on the bayonet and scabbard are matching, "3978". Ricasso area of blade has a cartouche on each side. See photos for further details, clarification, and condition. A beauty.
