Flown to the Surface of the Moon and Back to Earth - with Documentation!

Description

Beautiful 3 5/8" x 2 3/4" x 7/8" crystal clear Lucite block display showing, on the front, the Luna 24 spacecraft that landed on the surface of the moon in 1976, scooped up some soil and returned to earth.
Attached to this certificate is a genuine fragment
of brown fiberglas-type material
from the Luna 24 lander. The fragment measures about 1/4" x 3/8". It landed on the surface of the moon as part of the Luna 24 spacecraft.
Few people know that Russia landed Luna 24 on the moon on August 18, 1976.
On the back of this certificate is some information about the Luna 24 spacecraft and its mission.
The larger piece from which this piece of Luna 24 was taken was originally sold in a Superior Auction Gallery auction in the 1990's. Included with the certificate and fragment is a copy of the original documentation from Superior Galleries.
Also included are copies of the original documentation from Cosmonaut Valery Rozhdestvensky in Russian as well as a translation into English.
This will be the centerpiece of any space collection.
