    Description

    Antique French Navy M1874 Rifle Bayonet measuring 25-1/2" long overall with a blade length of 20-1/2". Excellent shiny blade showing some light scratches, quillon and handle pommel shows dark age patina, ,scabbard is dent free with some light age patina spots/fine pitting. Top of blade stamped with Deny Paris armory and a 1878 date. The right side of the guard has a Anchor on it, with the obverse side showing the S/N# with cartouches going up the quillon. The scabbard and bayonet have matching serial numbers, "99255".  Great working press-stud ejector.  See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.  A nice Navy piece.
