VINTAGE SHEAFFER BALANCE FOUNTAIN PEN OVERSIZE JEWELERS CAP BAND GREEN STRIATED

Here is a vintage Sheaffer’s Balance “Oversized” fountain pen in Green Striated celluloid with an uncommon gold-filled lined jewelers cap band.
This is being sold “AS IS” and “AS FOUND”. It has not been restored in anyway. The pen is in excellent condition overall. There are no signs of heavy wear or abuse of any kind. Pen is free from any major wear, chips, cracks or breaks. There are some light tooth marks on the filling knob. Barrel does retain nice transparency, allowing user to view ink levels within the pen.
The initials E.D.J. haven been neatly engraved into the jewelers cap band. Both the gold filled clip and cap band are in excellent condition. Both show very light wear with no heavy brassing. Light brassing present on the high contact areas, such as: clip ball and edges of cap band. Trim has not been polished.
Green Striated celluloid retains the original glossy finish. The factory barrel imprint remains crisp and is easily read. No names or initials engraved anywhere on the barrel.
Pen has a large Sheaffer’s 14k Lifetime nib. Looks to have a medium point on it and is more of a firm or rigid nib.
The vacuum filling system has not been restored and will need to be restored if buyer intends on using the pen.
This is the Oversized model, measuring approximately 5-3/4” capped.
