to keep them afloat, plus they have reflective stripes to keep them visible while they're on the water. The built-in padded handle on the back of the jacket helps us lift them from the water and into our boat as well as back onto the shore.
Extra foam at the neck helps keep their heads above water too.  This life jacket is a
